Tim Adams Curriculum Vitae
Professional Biography - 2025
Tim Adams went to work for the family roofing company in 1980, a company founded by his father, who was a claims manager in the insurance industry for many years before starting the family roofing business in 1969. Tim has personally installed or worked on the roof, managing roofing crews to install in excess of 12 million square feet of fluid-applied, ceramic granulated, and modified bitumen roof systems. Since 1985, Tim has been actively involved in and specializing in negotiating disputed hail-damaged roof claims.
In 1996 Tim Adams authored the roofing industry's only technical guide for assessing hail damage to emulsion roofs, a guide used widely in the insurance and roofing industries for claims on this particular roof system type.
Tim and his company, Alpha Public Adjusters, have built a reputation for credibility and fairness in the insurance claims business, with a specialization in hail-damaged roof claims on commercial buildings. Tim Adams’ 4 decades of experience as a commercial roofing contractor specializing in disputed hail claims makes him an expert at assessing hail damage and scoping repairs on commercial roofs.
Tim has developed proprietary high-tech methods and techniques for assessing hail damage on commercial roofs, with a specialization in emulsion roofs, ceramic granulated roof systems, gravel-surfaced built-up roofs, fluid-applied roof systems, and SPF spray foam roofing systems.
